Jubilee 2025
The 2025 and 2022 Jubilarians were honored in August
In the month of August, the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago recognized and honored their 2025 and 2022 Jubilarians. The festivities for the 2022 Jubilarians were moved to this year because of Covid restrictions that were implemented during that year.

This year’s 2025 Jubilarian is Sr. Joseph Marie Zenda who is celebrating 70 years in religious life. Her celebration was held on August 16 at the Frankino Life Enrichment Center at Mount Alverna Village in Parma, Ohio. Currently Sister serves at Mount Alverna Village as a Sister Representative. Sister was joined by family, friends, and associates from Mount Alverna Village. A special Jubilee Mass was held that day. Rev. Thomas Wisniewski was the Celebrant and Tom Kopchak played organ and piano at the Jubilee Mass. After the Mass there was a celebratory dinner. Patrick Welsh, Executive Director of Mount Alverna Village, provided opening remarks and a presentation. During the presentation Sr. Joseph Marie was provided with an award to commemorate her 70 years of religious life. We congratulate Sr. Joseph Marie on her milestone years of service. You may read about her life here.
Sister also participated in an interview a few years back and you may access it here.
