Novena in preparation for the feast
of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4th)
September 25 to October 3
Through the intercession of St. Francis of Assisi and after his example, let us show that we are members of the same family,24 showing our unity through our diversity and differences. May nothing hinder us, nothing separate us, nothing come between us as brothers and sisters. May we express our love for one another by our deeds and be meek, peaceful, modest, gentle, humble, and courteous with one another so as to reveal the presence and the saving work of your Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
