As Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, we live the gospel ideal that God is our Father, Christ is our Brother, and that we ourselves are sisters to one another in the Spirit. We are aware that unity, not uniformity, in the pursuit of our life and mission makes our congregation a "Gospel Community". As daughters of St. Francis, we love, honor, serve, bless, and glorify God through ceaseless praise and thanksgiving for all creation and for our re-creation in Jesus Christ.

The Franciscan Sisters of Chicago is a congregation of Catholic women living the Gospel life and dedicated to serving others for over 130 years. We serve the people of God through works prompted by our charism: care for children, the sick, the infirm, and the elderly; and pastoral and social services.
